Many people think of bathrooms as merely functional: it’s where you bathe, wash your hands, and relieve yourself. However, we all know that there’s more to the story. On the Interstate, when you decide to stop at a gas station, the first criteria to consider are the cleanliness of the restrooms. When you eat at a restaurant or have a drink at a bar, you inevitably inspect, scrutinize, and grade the state of their facilities, which tends to reflect the establishment’s overall quality. And the same rule applies to homeowners: guests and prospective homebuyers attach a lot of importance to bathrooms, so you should as well.

Yes, Size Matters!

The biggest concern when it comes to remodeling any room is its size. When you renovate, creating more space should always be a priority. No matter how many fresh fixtures or state-of-the-art features you install, it’ll all be useless if the room feels cramped. This is especially important when it comes to small bathroom design. Lavatories, even if they’re only ? baths, are meant to be luxurious and relaxing. And although it’s great to have a cozy, private retreat, you should also feel comfortable and at ease. So when it comes to undersized restrooms, you need to find ways to utilize the space you’ve been given in order make a tiny area feel like an airy sanctuary.

Let Space Speak for Itself

The simplest way to deal with a small bathroom design is to highlight the pre-existing space. This means you have to trick people into seeing more than what is really there. Giving the illusion of space is a very effective way to enlarge a room:

De-clutter: One bathroom design idea is to remove the clutter. Get rid of the busy wallpaper. Take down the picture frames. Remove excess furnishings. Eliminate those ugly towel bars.

Storage: Now that you’ve ridded yourself of the clutter, where the heck are you going to put your stuff? To hang towels, install a hook on the back of the door or buy a shower rod with towel bars already attached. If you have to have furniture, make it do double-duty. Get a decorative chest that can also act as an additional storage unit. Or invest in a small magazine rack that can be placed out of the way. But it’s best to get things off the floor by hanging tiny shelves or buying a mirrored medicine cabinet to conceal your toiletries.

Lighting: Now that your stuff is out of the way, you now need to spotlight the space you’ve created. In small bathroom design, natural illumination is a great way to cast some light in dark corners. So install a skylight or add a window. If that’s impossible, make use of the light you have. Put in a glass-block window that lets light in from other rooms. Mount some wall sconces that take up little space yet shed lots of ambient light. Or just fire up some candles to generate a romantic mood.

Walls: Along with lighting, another key bathroom design idea is color coordination. Letting your walls stay neutral (white or beige) generates an impression of more space. Plus, if you draw the eye upwards, the room will look taller; so add a border around the ceiling to create more vertical depth. Also, installing polished tiles and hanging mirrors lets the area reflect itself, thereby creating the feel of additional square footage.

More Out of Less

In any type of small bathroom design, it’s the plumbing fixtures that eat up the room. But there are ways to make these cumbersome necessities fade into the background.

Toilet: A hung toilet has no tank attached so it slides right up against the wall.

Sink: Most vanities come with small, useless counter spaces and cabinetry systems. Instead, eliminate the waste by installing a wall-hung sink which frees up floor space. Or a pedestal sink installed in an out of the way corner can deliver the elegance you want with the openness you need.

Tub: Make this particular fixture do the work for two by installing a unit that works as both shower and tub. If you still want luxury, clawfoot tubs actually free up space around the walls and can be turned into a shower or Jacuzzi depending on the model.

Shower: If you have a half bath, a quick bathroom design idea is to simply install a single-stall shower in a corner. And to make it invisible to the naked eye, invest in frameless doors or a clear shower curtain for a transparent appearance.

Before you hire just any Phoenix landscaper to plan your outdoor environment, you should read this article. This article will provide you with some tips that will help you save time and money, and avoid hiring the wrong landscaping contractor. The following information will be beneficial to you and will help you steer clear of costly mistakes, no matter the size or scope of your project.

Professionally designed landscaping, like a newly remodeled kitchen or bathroom, can increase the value of your home dramatically. In fact, it’s the first impression people get when they see your home – it’s called “curb appeal.” Landscaping, however, isn’t just about the front yard. Professional Phoenix landscapers will work with you to assess your entire property from front to back, and then provide you with a design that makes everything flow perfectly.

That’s why it choosing the right Phoenix landscaper is crucial. By following a few simple rules, you can avoid paying too much, being in the dark on what is going on, sketchy time tables and less than perfect quality. Here are some guidelines that will help you to avoid choosing the wrong landscaping company:

Phoenix landscapers can be very affordable or very expensive depending on what you want to do. It’s best to have a good idea about what you want in advance so you can set your budget and stick to it. If you’re looking for functionality, be sure to choose quality products because, in the end, you get what you pay for. Clearly define your budget first. Then, you can begin your landscape design project with a threshold that you won’t go above. This will help you pick and choose the things that are important to you and your outdoor living environment. It’s also a good idea to find out what kinds of payment methods your professional landscape designers will accept!

It is also extremely important to know how long the landscaping company has been in business. Think about it. If you just spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on your home and now you’d like to put in a pool. Would you rather hire someone that has only put in 2 pools, or someone that has put in hundreds of pools? While the person with less experience may charge you less, the value of what they’re providing to you will not be as great as that of the person with experience. Remember, you get what you pay for.

There are other benefits to choosing a Phoenix landscaper that has been in business for a long time. Chances are, they are very familiar with what works and what doesn’t and that can save you a lot of money in the long run. They will be licensed by the state that they work in, meaning that they operate legally, provide high quality work and are accountable for the work they do. They will be insured and liable for any accidents or injuries that may occur on your property. These are all things that can give you piece of mind before you hire them to work on your landscape design.

If you realize your kitty is not feeling well it can be difficult because she isn’t able to tell you her symptoms or precisely what she is feeling. Instead it’s your responsibility to watch for any changes in routine or changes in behavior. This way you can be aware of any possible signs that your cat may be developing a feline illness.

It’s important to know your cat’s regular habits, things like regular eating and drinking habits, regular activity level, and regular litter box or “bathroom” habits. But it’s good to keep in mind that with certain illnesses a cat might not show many symptoms; she might only have mild indications. This is why it’s important to pay careful attention to your cat’s regular behavior and be aware of even slight modifications. You may even want to take notes on the changes you notice.

Gathering this information about your cat’s symptoms might also aid the veterinarian in diagnosing the cat illness. While sometimes the diagnosis for a cat health problem is determined quickly, other times it may be complicated and any additional information from you may be instrumental.

The more quickly you realize there may be something wrong the better. Starting treatment quickly can cut down on additional problems and provide a better success rate. Plus your kitty will start feeling better sooner. Another good reason to act fast is because certain feline illnesses can contribute to cat behavior problems like urinating or defecating outside of the litter box. This behavior can become an unpleasant cycle of problems so avoiding this behavior when at all possible is of course best for both you and your feline friend.

How do you know if your cat may have a feline health problem?

Sometimes it’s more obvious than others, but as discussed earlier changes in your cat’s normal behavior can be a good clue that something is wrong. There are also some specific symptoms to watch for:

- Urinating or defecating outside of the litter box

- Straining in the litter box

- Constipation (and lack of feces in the litter box)

- Diarrhea

- Changes in appetite

- Increase in thirst

- Change in weight

- Changes in energy level

- Depression or lethargy

- Vomiting (other than hairballs)

- Excessive scratching

These are only a few potential indications, but watch for anything out of the ordinary and discuss it with your veterinarian. Always consult your veterinarian if you think your cat has a feline illness — don’t try to self-diagnose. Feline illnesses can be complex and may require lab tests so you know how to treat it properly.

Preventing Feline Illness

As I’m sure you’ve heard before prevention is the best medicine. Naturally it is not possible to prevent all feline illness but you can at least help dilute the chances of it.

Diet is the foundation of your cat’s health. Help keep your cat’s immune system strong by feeding a nutritious, species-appropriate diet and make sure she always has access to fresh water. Cats need a lot of protein in their diet and it’s best if their diet includes moist foods. In the long run feeding your cat a good quality cat food can actually save you money and headache.

Another way to cut the risk of feline illness is by keeping your cat inside. Indoor cats are less likely to contract a feline illness because they aren’t as exposed to carriers of feline diseases or parasites.

And don’t forget the routine vet visits.

There are many owners who treat their dogs as babies. The pats don not have the capacity of expressing their expressions. You need to give training to your pet which would help it to express it views towards its owner:

Observe the behavior your pet: help your dog to develop good habits. The dog should not have any difficulty relieving the urine. Your pet should have good toilet habits. Whenever the dog wants to visit the bathroom then it would show some signs which you need to know. You need to know the signs of your pet. Your pet should know the right place to relieve itself as soon as possible. You should make a fix schedule for your pet. this schedule should include all necessary events.

Admire your pet: give reward to your pet and admire him for the things that it does. Reward and punishment play a vital role in the life of the pet. You should not scold your pet for the mistakes that are done by it because this would create negative impression of your pet.
